A portion of the funds raised at the Silent Auction has been donated towards the “Saving the Survivors” foundation, which aims towards protecting and saving endangered species.

Saving the Survivors was founded in 2012 by Dr. Johan Marais to protect and save injured endangered wildlife that has fallen victim to poaching or traumatic incidents. Most of their efforts have been directed at the rhino due to the vicious attacks that many of them have fallen victim to.
