Bryggen (the dock)
Bryggen’s structures are built in lines with vernacular building traditions that influenced Norway’s style of architecture.

• In Bryggen you will find narrow roads with buildings facing the harbor, separated by narrow wooden passages.
• Approximately 62 buildings remain, and are a shining example of how German merchants lived and worked.
• The name “gard” is used to refer to the rows of 2 and 3-storey urban buildings that can be seen running parallel to the harbor.
• The medieval structure of the buildings has been maintained.

The beautiful view of the morning sky sipping a cup of coffee.

You can spend hours watching this monument as the sun moves along the horizon.

Captured the beautiful sculpture against the splash of colours in the Icelandic skies and splendid waterfront. It’s always been speculated if this resembles a Viking Ship.
