The Brisbane Clinic Project

About the Project

First and foremost, many thanks to Dr. Sandhya Rk. for always supporting me and appreciating my work– I am ever so grateful for this opportunity! She has requested me for a series of fourteen watercolor paintings, which will be hung on the walls of her newly renovated clinic in Brisbane, Australia. The aim is to create an uplifting, engaging and cheerful atmosphere for the patients. They are done in mostly pastel shades so that they are soft and pleasing to the eye. The motifs involve spring flowers, sailboats, forests, and the simple pleasures of childhood.

Before this project, I had somehow always been a little wary of watercolors, but this project pushed me out of my comfort zone. It’s been three months, and I can’t stop myself from using watercolors for my other projects– thanks again to Sandhya ma’am!

The funds raised from this project will go towards supporting the Welfare Association for the families of the martyred Indian soldiers. The Pulwama attack was an incident that occurred in my home country and is very close to my heart. Many families were torn apart. The wives and children were severely affected due to the fact that the men who were engaged as members of the Indian Army, now deceased, were the breadwinners for their families. Any amount of assistance would be great for bettering their livelihoods– and I would very much love to do so.
