Art for a Cause’s First Auction

The Experience

The aim of this silent auction was to help out the parent council at my school with fundraising, and at the same time raise some funds for Art for a Cause. When I was asked to donate some of my works for the auction, I was more than flattered but also overwhelmed. It was admittedly a daunting experience, having not participated in an auction before.

The day of the event I was amazed by the marvelous planning done by the organizer and by the exhibition venue– an airy room with tables dedicated to artworks done by many student artists, including myself. It was very fun to sneak up behind the interested buyers talking, discussing, arguing and bidding for my own works!

I am so pleased to have been given this platform to showcase my work. I learned quite a bit about bidding, setting prices and organizing an auction. I have received so many encouraging words from parents and teachers, which has encouraged me to continue my art further. signed copies, limited edition.

Saving the Survivors Foundation
